Party Time!

On Sunday we visited DJ's and Cam's old daycare teacher for her son's 6th b-day. This was the first time that she got to see Evan in person as well. Everyone there thought that my little girl was about a week old, and I guess that technically she is (on Sunday her corrected age was 1 week old).

The boys had a great time playing games and running wild, and as usual Evan slept the entire time!




I bet you guys didn't know that Evan had a sister. Our dog Kai loves to lay next to Evan and alert me in the middle of the night when she's crying in her crib.

Say Cheese!

Evan is always smiling (or has gas?) but this is the first time that I was able to catch it. Her double chin makes it even more adorable.




A few days ago I hightailed it to babies r' us and purchased a toy for Evan. It's not like she can play with it now, but she did enjoy about 4 minutes of DJ explaining how it works.

1 month old!

Can you believe that Evan is already 1 month old? Time is flying by so fast and she's getting so big! Now she's filling out all her newborn outfits and will probably be in 0-3 month clothes soon.

Here are her stats from this mornings doctors visit.

Weight: 7lbs. 4oz. (that's a gain of two pounds since her last visit)

Height: 19 3/4 inches

Head Circumference: 34cm.

The doc was amazed and pleased at how much weight she's been able to gain and said that she is doing remarkably well!

After some searching I found Cam's first picture. Look how much he and Evan look alike...

Horses and Bows

Saturday was super busy. We took the boys horseback riding and in true form Cameron refused to get on, at first. He finally decided to ride however, after Damon pointed out that the horse resembled Spirit (the cartoon horse from the movie). After horseback riding we went to two birthday parties. Needless to say we were exhausted when we finally arrived home that evening.


In other news I have finally found bows that don't slide out of Evan's hair. She looks too cute doesn't she?

The 3 E's

E#1- Evan

E#3- Exhaustion

On Tuesday, Evan and I dropped by Baby's Family and visited with Evie. Born only 11 days before my little one, Evie is Evan's first friend (although the didn't get to meet because, as usual, Evan refused to wake up). It was fun hanging out with another new mommy and comparing baby stories and seeing Evie. She's too cute!




The third E I am dealng with right now is EXHAUSTION. I am so tired! Evan loves to stay up at night looking around and watching episode after episode of Law and Order. Then I have to get up at 6am, get DJ ready and shuttle him off to school. I try to sleep when she sleeps, but it's never enough. Ohhh...the life of a mother with an infant.

1st Grade

I can't believe that yesterday was DJ's first day of first grade! It seems like yesterday that he was born. He was so tiny and kept losing all his little Nike socks because his feet were so small. Now he's tall and handsome and smart. Wow...He didn't even want me to stay long and today I just dropped him off outside and he didn't even look back. They grow up so fast.
